That's Hot

Why is it when I tell people that Sam and I are moving to Arizona in a week the very first thing they say is, “Oh it’s so hot! Especially now.”
This is not new information.
Arizona = HOT
Summer= HOTTEST
I guess they are just trying to be ‘helpful’. Or maybe they are like me and just say the first thing that pops into their head.
Despite the sweltering heat Sam and I are both really excited for our new life.
If you have something wonderful to say about Arizona, I am all ears. I mean it’s good enough for Stephanie Meyer right?

Arizona is FANTASTIC! I loved growing up there. The heat isn't really that big of a deal. I love the summer storms! You two will have so much fun in AZ. :]

ha ha. it's totally like when your pregnant and people look at you and all they say is "hope your enjoying your sleep now"

I went to Arizona for a week a few years ago and it was one of the most beautiful places i've ever been to. Side note- you can also live in a beautiful house for a fraction of the price.

AZ's hot...but not that hot. LOL. I mean, everywhere is air conditioned...if it's indoor. Not that bad. Well...at least make sure you get a house that has a fan in the bedroom...and it has a/c. Keep the fan on all night and by morning time you could be freezing. And I'd say try to get a house where your bedroom faces east...so the afternoon sun will have passed your bedroom by. Our son's bedroom was facing west...and it seemed like by the late afternoon it was so hot...and that was in like March. So....remember the fans when looking for a house!
And yes...AZ is good enough for Steph. Was good enough for me too. Boo hoo. Plus there's also Janette Rallison. And Aprilynne Pike just recently moved there too....as for other authors I like in AZ. =)

I love that place! I'm excited for y'all! Believe me... I get the "heat" thing living in TX, but all that matters is that there's a pool nearby you can go to. It doesn't last long anyway! Fun!

I'm feeling pretty sorry for you right now. Wu and I really hated living in Arizona! But I will say that if you like shopping and eating out there is plenty of that going on. If you're looking for some good restaurants I can hook you up!

I think that's excellent news! Kami is also moving to Arizona - Tucson, I think. She'll be there by the beginning of August because Paul is starting law school. Maybe you knew this already.

Granted, I've never been to Arizona in the summer but I've loved it during the times I have been there. I think all those changes sound fun. Have fun.

Heather...AZ is great!! The heat isn't as bad as it sounds because everywhere is air conditioned. The mountains aren't far away for a little retreat either. You will love the shopping and eating!!! I miss it so much...I keep thinking "Only two more years....."
